Degree Candidacy
 >> Bachelor Degree > Academic Resources

Evening students must be accepted as degree candidates in order to earn a degree from the College. Students should submit an "Application for Admission to Degree Candidacy" when they are ready to commit to completion of a degree and have been advised they meet the eligibility requirements listed below.  No student may earn more than 24 semester hours of course credit without applying for acceptance as a degree candidate

Degree Candidacy Requirements
Students seeking the Bachelor of Business Administration degree must meet ALL THREE of the following entrance requirements for admission to degree candidacy.

  1. The student is a graduate of an approved high school, or other secondary school, or has obtained a high school equivalency diploma through the General Education Development (GED) tests.
  2. The student has completed at least sixteen high school units in acceptable college preparatory subjects including Algebra I and II, and one other Math. Students who earned the GED must also complete Algebra II to become degree candidates, but that requirement does not prevent them from taking college courses.
  3. The student presents satisfactory records from high school and from all colleges or universities previously attended.

Completing equivalent courses offered by Ursinus College can satisfy deficiencies in high school entrance requirements.  However, credits for course work so taken may be applied as high school unit requirements ONLY, and cannot also be used to satisfy college degree requirements.
